Zoe Ann Tegethoff, age 90, of Independence, Kansas passed July 9, 2024. She was born in Nash, Oklahoma on July 24, 1933, to Wiiliam Franklin and Winiefred Margurite (Toerger) Eichinger.
Zoe attended grade school in Nash, Oklahoma. She then went on to graduate from Pomona High School, Pomona, Kansas. She married Darrell Tegethoff on May 6, 1956. Zoe and Darrell were united in marriage for forty-two years, before his passing on March 16, 1999.
Zoe belonged to many organizations throughout her life. She was a member of Rainbow for Girls, charter member for Neewollah Camping Club, King of the Road Campers, AARP, and the Good Sam Club. Zoe was employed by Crabtree-Harmon and Mayflower as a school bus driver and supervisor for twenty-two years. She retired in 1995. In Zoe’s free time, she enjoyed gardening, camping, crafts, and roller skating.
Zoe was preceded in death by her husband Darrell, parents William and Winiefred Eichinger; brothers Delbert Eichinger, Billy Eichinger and Jimmie Eichinger; and sister-in-law Virginia Eichinger. Survivors include her daughter Debra Huffman (husband John), of Springdale, Arkansas, sons: Charles Tegethoff, of Elm Springs, Arkansas, Wendell Tegehoff, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Doyle Tegethoff, of Independence, Kansas. Zoe is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 16, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.
