Wilma Jean Burgoon

Wilma J. Burgoon, age 82, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, October 9, 2009, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She was born on Saturday, October 1, 1927, in Homewood, Kansas. She was the daughter of Edward Francis and Viola Janet (Daugherty) Lilly. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. Wilma attended Ottawa High School. Wilma was a homemaker. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #5901 of Ottawa. On Friday, May 16, 1947, Wilma was united in marriage with David J. Burgoon in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1987. Wilma is survived by her: Son-Richard Allen Burgoon & his wife, Carlene, of Ottawa, KS Grandchildren (Seven )-Rhonda Foltz, David Conley, Richard Burgoon, Jr., Christopher Burgoon, Larry Barrett, Dean Mustain, Rejeana (Mustain) Hood Gt. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Burgoon at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, where the family will meet with friends 7:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
