When he became an adult, he lived in Osage and Franklin Counties, moving into Ottawa in the mid to late 1960's, where he made his home, until his death on Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the age of ninety-six years. Jack attended school in Williamsburg. He was a lifelong farmer and long time caretaker of Mt. Hope Cemetery in Williamsburg. Jack took great pride in his farm and his excellent care of the cemetery. He is also preceded in death by his son, Willard M. Cromwell, Jr.; two brothers, Leo Cromwell, Perry Cromwell; and three sisters, Minnie Kime, Myrtle Johnson, Effie Gault.
