Ivan Wayne Ludwig Wayne Ludwig age 82, passed away at his residence in rural Paola, Ks, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday June 21, 2008. Masonic Services will be held at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Paola on Wednesday June 25, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. with visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner"s Children"s Hospital. Ivan Wayne Ludwig was born on September 6, 1925 in Paola, Ks. to Roy and Nellie Marie (Barger) Ludwig. He is a member of the Paola High School graduating class of 1943. On December 16, 1946 he married the love of his life, Susie Watkins at the First Baptist Church in Paola, Ks. Together they made their home on the family farm where Wayne was born and raised. They continued to live there and raise their four children. Wayne was a proud member of the Paola Masonic Lodge, he was also a member or the Shiner"s York Rite Temple. He worked as a construction worker and also farmed and raised dairy cattle. Wayne worked and retired from the Roteck Company, and spent many years as a Wal-Mart greeter. He also was an avid bowler, enjoyed camping, and was a big Nascar Fan. Preceding him in death are his parents, his loving wife and a daughter Roletta Lynn Ludwig. His Survivors include his children Carolyn S Ludwig, Douglas W. Ludwig, of Paola, Debra Stottlemire of Princeton, Ks, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister Colleen Barnett of Paola .
