Wanda May McElfresh-Estabrooks, age 59, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010. She was born on Monday, March 6, 1950, in Emporia, Kansas. She was the daughter of Floyd and Willma (Brim) McElfresh. She was raised three miles west of Williamsburg in Osage County and also lived in Kansas City, Missouri, Topeka and Melvern, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 1972. Wanda graduated from Melvern High School with the class of 1968. She was employed in stocking and customer service in the health and beauty department of Wal-Mart Supercenter in Ottawa. She was also employed by King Radio thirty years and Dairy Queen two years, both in Ottawa. On July 13, 1973, Wanda was united in marriage with James Lewis Estabrooks in Ottawa, Kansas. They were later divorced. Survivors include: Daughter-Tina Estabrooks of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter-Dawn Estabrooks of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter-Crystal Norval of Ottawa, Kansas Brother-Delbert McElfresh of Hildago, Texas Brother-David McElfresh of Ottawa, Kansas Sister-Floy McElfresh of Lyndon, Kansas Four grandchildren-James Estabrooks, Brantly Bochy, Dominic Wimbush, Ricky Norval, Jr. She is preceded in death by her: Parents-Floyd and Willma (Brim) McElfresh Brother-Sam McElfresh Brother-Danny McElfresh SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010. IN STATE: Cremation is planned. CEMETERY: Inurnment at Americus Cemetery following services.
