Wallace W Scott

Wallace W. Scott, age 83, of Golden City, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at St. Lukes Nursing Center.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M., Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.

Family will meet friends 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas.

Wallace was born Friday, December 8, 1939, in Greenwood, Kansas, the son of Charles Clayton and Gertrude Angeline (Hopkins) Scott.

Wallace served in the United States Army stationed in Germany and was Honorably Discharged October 1967.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ruark Bratton on October 22, 1964 in Ottawa, Kansas. After 28 years of marriage, they divorced, in 1992.

Wallace was a heavy equipment operator out of Local 101 for over 45 years and loved his pipeline family and work.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.

Survivors include children, Doug (Debbie) Scott, of Neosho Missouri, Janice Bratton of Cassville Missouri, Ted Bratton of Oklahoma Missouri; brother, Ben Scott of Washburn, Missouri; grandchildren, Jordan Daniel (Austin) of Joplin Missouri, Coleman Scott (Navy) of Joplin Missouri, Melissa Bratton of Corpus Christi Texas, Ryan Bratton Oklahoma City; great grandchildren, Mara Daniel and Townes Daniel, of Joplin Missouri.
