Wallace F. Crow

Wallace F. Crow, 82, Lawrence, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence. He was born July 29, 1925, to Russell P. and Ruth V. (Little) Crow in Pomona. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1943. He lived in the Pomona and Ottawa areas most of his life. Wallace helped his parents with their grocery business, Crow`s Grocery, on North Main Street in Ottawa, and later worked for Underwood Equipment. He also worked at the Hercules Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto, Kansas. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1943. Survivors include two cousins, Beverly Bolton, Lawrence, and Jean Chudy, Carlisle, Ark. SERVICES: Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas. IN STATE: Mr. Crow will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary. CEMEMTERY: Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas.
