Vivian V. Gragg

Vivian V. Gragg, 87, of Ottawa, passed away, Sunday, June 13, 2021, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa, Kansas. The family will meet with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, June 21, 2021, at the church. Private family inurnment will take place at Highland Cemetery at a later date. Vivian was born Tuesday, January 30, 1934, at Seymour, Missouri, the daughter of Fred D. and Freda (Traver) Griffin. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Vivian was united in marriage to Everett L. Gragg July 20, 1952, at Ottawa, Kansas. They later divorced. She was a caregiver for many years at Crestview Nursing Home and Ottawa Retirement Village. Vivian was also a seamstress at H. D. Lee from 1973 to 1977. Vivian was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and sew, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gene Griffin, Delbert Griffin, LaVerne Griffin, Wayne Griffin and Gale Griffin, sister, Nadine Carter and granddaughters, Miranda Leadbetter and Kimberly Gragg. Survivors include her sons, Daryl Gragg (Lois) of Ankeny, Iowa, Keith M. Gragg (Tonja) of Fredonia, Kansas, Dennis D. Gragg (Marilyn) of Ottawa, Curtis W. Gragg (Dawn) of Overbrook; sisters, Faye Franklin of Raymore, Missouri and Maye Steward of Loveland, Colorado; brother, Adrian Griffin of Prairie Mound, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
