Vivian Combs, age 85, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Mulhall, Oklahoma, passed away on August 18th at The Sweet Life at Grand Court. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27th at the First Christian Church of Olathe, Kansas (200 E. Loula, Olathe, KS 66061) at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to the donor"s choice. Vivian was born February 24, 1926, in Mulhall, Oklahoma to Ethmer and Delilah Blakesley Beesley. She grew up in the Mulhall area and graduated from Mulhall High School in 1944. On June 7, 1944, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Combs in Guthrie, Oklahoma. To this union 3 children were born. Vivian was a homemaker mostly enjoying cooking, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She and her husband made their home in Oklahoma City for 28 years and then moved back to the rural Mulhall area living on the family farm for 35 years. She had lived in the Kansas City area for the past 2 years. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James E. Beesley and a sister, Colleen Rex. Surviving is her husband, Robert, of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Debby Cook and husband Mike of Flower Mound, Texas; daughter, Candy Couch and husband George of Miami, Oklahoma; son, Bobby Combs and wife Jami of Olathe, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Michael Cook, Sarah Crittenden, Brant Combs, Nolan Couch and Morgan Combs; 3 great-grandchildren Aaron Cook, Lana Crittenden and Kendall Cook.
