Virginia Rose Bugner

Virginia Rose Bugner, age 85, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on Wednesday, May 19, 1926, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of George and Susan (Ternes) Timmermeyer. Virginia grew up in Wichita and also lived in Engles and Jetmoor, Kansas, prior to moving to Ottawa in 1953. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Wichita with the class of 1944. Virginia was a homemaker and for five years she worked as a cook at the Mid-America Nutrition Site for Senior Citizens, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901 Auxiliary, all of Ottawa. On January 21, 1947, Virginia was united in marriage with Wilfred W. Bugner in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death December 16, 2006. She is survived by her Daughter-Mary Lu Koorstead and her husband, Bob, of Jacksonville, Arkansas Daughter-Ellen Lancaster and her husband, John, of Redfield, Kansas Daughter-Jean Bell and her husband, Greg, of Mesa, Arizona Son-James Bugner and his wife, Lisa, of Fulton, Kansas Son Gerald Bugner and Julie Brooks of Olathe, Kansas Son-Donald Bugner and his wife, Deb, of Ottawa, Kansas Sister-Dorothy Timmermeyer of Wichita, Kansas Grandchildren-Thirteen Gt.Grandchildren-Sixteen Gt.Gt. Grandchildren-One She is preceded in death by her Husband-Wilfred W. Bugner Parents-George and Susan Timmermeyer Daughter-Linda Hunt Brother-Henry Timmermeyer Brother-Richard Timmermeyer Sister-Mary Timmermeyer SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June13, 2011. IN STATE: Mrs. Bugner will lie in state from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where a Rosary will be said at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, followed by a family visitation at 2:30.
