Virginia L. Nicholson

Virginia L. Nicholson age 89 of Shawnee passed away Wed at her home. Memorial Service will be Monday, Sept. 21 at the Hillsdale Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM. Virginia was born Jan. 29, 1920 in Kansas City MO. to Harry F. and Cleo F. Officer Bryant. She grew up in the Hillsdale area and graduated from Paola High School in 1937. Virginia received her Bachelor"s from Kansas City Teachers College (UMKC), and her Masters from UMKC. She taught elementary age children in the Kansas City MO. School District for many years before retiring. Virginia grew up in Hillsdale and has lived in the Shawnee Kansas area since 1961. She was united in marriage to Elven E. Nicholson on Aug. 6, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband in 1999 and one brother Harry Bryant, Jr. Survivors are her daughter Nita Fritz of Shawnee, KS. 2 grandchildren Brian Banks and Kristin Fritz and son-in-Law Harry Fritz Jr. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
