Virginia C. Harrison

Virginia C. Harrison, 75, of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at her home with family by her side. Private family services will be held later. Virginia was born September 26, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Gene and Agnes (Hanis) Sheeds. She lived in Cass County, Missouri for 15 years moving in 1992 to Ottawa, Kansas. She graduated from Ward High School with the class of 1962 and attended Kansas City Conservatory of Music. On September 30, 1967 Virginia was united in marriage to Paul Harrison in Kansas City, Kansas. Virginia was employed for 10 years as a secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gardner, Kansas. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa and taught C.C.D. classes. Virginia delivered Meals on Wheels, enjoyed antiques and miniatures, and above all loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Paul of the home; two sons, Douglas Harrison and wife Jami of Belton, Missouri and Scott Harrison of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Justin Harrison and wife Christin of Richlands, North Carolina, Cameron Harrison and wife Rachel of Belton, Missouri, and Parker Harrison also of Belton, Missouri; and two great grandchildren, Landon Harrison of Belton, Missouri and Emma Harrison of Richlands, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Barbara Napeceik, Fr. Jerry Sheeds and Ronald Sheeds.
