Vickie Lynn Stinebaugh, 67, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Homewood Community Bible Church, 1795 Idaho Road, Williamsburg, 66095. Family will meet with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 3, 2021, at the church. Inurnment will be held later at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg. Vickie was born Friday, July 9, 1954, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Ople Arlene (Shores) Adams. She was a lifelong Williamsburg resident. Vickie graduated from Williamsburg High School with the Class of 1972. She was united in marriage to James Stinebaugh on June 11, 1972, at Ottawa, Kansas. His death occurred one week after Vickie’s on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Other survivors include her mother, Ople Adams of Williamsburg, sons, Gene Stinebaugh (Kristie) of Princeton, Adam Stinebaugh (Mandy) of Ottawa and John Stinebaugh (Amanda) of Williamsburg; daughter Kelly Shepherd (John) of Pomona; sisters, Linda Snider (Kevin) of Williamsburg, Judy Huggard (Randy) of Ottawa, and Sandi Suther (Joe) of Princeton; brother Shane Adams (Mandi) of Princeton; grandchildren, Kamryn Stinebaugh, Karlie Stinebaugh, Blake Stinebaugh, Sterling Shepherd, Katelynn Shepherd and Ross Shepherd. Vickie was also preceded in death by her father, Eugene Adams and sister, Kathy Adams. Vickie was a lifelong homemaker and very active in many organizations in the Franklin County area. She was a member of the Homewood Community Bible Church and the Homewood Extension Homemaker Unit. Vickie was a 4-H club leader of the Burg-Go-Getters for many years and secretary of the Franklin County Farmers’ Market. Her love for Jesus led her to teach Sunday school and Bible school at her church. Vickie had a green thumb and loved gardening which was evident in the abundance of flowers and vegetables in her greenhouse. Many have enjoyed her fresh grown vegetables on their dinner table and transplanted her flowers to enjoy in their own gardens. In addition, Vickie was amazing in the kitchen – teaching others to cook, canning, and even baking beautiful wedding and birthday cakes for the community. She was very family oriented - always the first to step-up to help family and friends. Vickie enjoyed going on family vacations and attended all grandchildren’s activities.
