Vicki Ann Brandon

March 10, 1936 — November 17, 2001

Vicki Ann Brandon was born March 10, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Kersey) Farley. She spent her early childhood in Birmingham, Alabama, moving to Bailey, Michigan in 1947. From 1957 to 1960, she and her husband lived in Ottawa, Kansas. From 1960 to 1963, she and her family lived on the west coast, in California, Oregon and Washington. In 1964, they moved to Kansas City, Kansas, and Overbrook in 1984, where she made her home, until her death Saturday, November 17, 2001, at the age of sixty-five years. Vicki attended schools in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a lifelong homemaker. Mrs. Brandon was a member of Full Faith Church of Love in Shawnee, Kansas. Mrs. Brandon loved to read the Bible. First and foremost, she loved to spend time with her family. She also loved her pets and enjoyed working with her flowers. On June 22, 1957, Vickie was united in marriage with Victor Brandon at Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of their home. Also, surviving are three sons, Victor C. Brandon of Overbrook, Kansas, Steve Brandon of Wichita, Kansas, Ray Brandon, of Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren, JoAnn Woods, Mandi Scott, Joshua Brandon, Daniel Brandon, Jeanie Henderson, Robert Henderson, Stacy Brandon, Stephen Brandon; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Scott, Raven Scott, Katelyn Woods and Alison Schmidt. Her parents and several brothers and sisters precede her in death. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet at Twin Mound Cemetery in Douglas County, Kansas for graveside services, 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2001; Pastor Andy Bondurant will be officiating. IN STATE: Mrs. Brandon will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 8:00 A.M. to noon Monday. CEMETERY: Twin Mound Cemetery, Douglas County, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Full Faith Church of Love, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
