Vera Mae Grey

Vera Mae Grey, age 72 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Ottawa Retirement Village. She was born on Sunday, March 24, 1940, in Ottawa, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Gay) Latimer. Vera was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Vera worked for the Lee’s Downtowner as a cook in the 1960’s and 1970’s; Platner Industries as a line worker in the 1970’s; and Crestview Nursing Home as a dietician for six years retiring in 1980. She is survived by her, Son – Randy Grey of Ottawa; Daughter – Cindy Tegtmeyer and her husband Dale of Ottawa; Sister – Vivian Ebert of Seguin, Texas; Six grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. Verna was preceded in death by her Son – Alfred Grey, Jr.; Parents – Ralph and Nellie Latimer; Four brothers – Ray, Ronnie, Ralph Jr., and Richard Latimer; Sister – Violet Wills and Half sister – Viola Miller.
