Tyler Grant Gerhardt, age 28, of Lonedell, Missouri, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri. He was born on Thursday, October 27, 1983, in Alton, Illinois, the son of Mike and Donnita Jean (Barnes) Gerhardt. He moved with his family from Alton to Ottawa, Kansas in 1992. The last four years, he lived in Missouri communities including St. Clair and Lonedell. Tyler graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 2001. The past four years, he worked for American Plastics Group in Union, Missouri, where he served as production manager. He previously worked for Kennel Aire in Ottawa. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa. For the last seven years, Tyler has been in a special relationship with his partner, Tori Nichols. She survives of their home. He is survived by his: Partner-Tori Nichols of their home in Lonedell, Missouri; Parents-Mike and Donnita Gerhardt of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Landi Goyer and her husband, Buddy, of Ottawa, Kansas; Nephew-Perry Goyer of Ottawa, Kansas; Niece-Kerrigan Goyer of Ottawa, Kansas; Paternal Grandfather-Leland H. Gerhardt, Sr. of Holton, Kansas; Maternal Grandparents-Donald R. and Betty J. (Wenger) Barnes of Hiawatha, Kansas and Many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother-Betty Ann (Potter) Gerhardt. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1320 W. 15th St., in Ottawa. IN STATE: Mr. Gerhardt will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa from 5:00 to 9:00 Sunday evening. CEMETERY: Antioch Cemetery of rural Williamsburg, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
