Trinda Johnson

TRINDA I. JOHNSON Trinda I. Johnson, 91, of Paola, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday October 16, 2011 at Miami County Medical Center. Trinda was born to Herbert and Madeline Moore Cunning on October 25, 1919 in Jamaica, West Indies. She lived most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri where she worked as a hair dresser, then as a nurse"s assistant at St. Joseph Hospital and Menorah Hospital. After her retirement, she enjoyed caring for children. Trinda enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and traveling especially back to Jamaica. She also enjoyed reading the Bible and singing in church. Trinda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Avis Brown and her brother Sidney Cunning. She is survived by three sons Michael and Marisa Cunning of Paola, Kansas, Harold Fennell of Kansas City, Missouri, and Noel Dawkins of Jamaica; a sister Inez Jones of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
