Trentan "Trent" Dey McClelland, age 20, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away May 22, 2021. Trent was born December 21, 2000 at Olathe, Kansas to Tristan Dey and Belinda Kay (Royse) McClelland. Trent loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He ventured out on several hog hunts with his dad. Like father, like son, he and his dad shared an interest in video games and outdoor activities. Trent loved his sisters and was very protective of them. He taught his sister Leela to ride a skate board and spent many weekends hanging out with her. He always had fun hanging out with his sisters being goofy and listening to music. He loved his nephew who was like Trent's mini-me. He spent many summer days and time after school riding his bike across town to see his Great-Grandpa Frank at the senior home. Trent loved spending time with his Great-Grandpa Frank. Trent graduated from Paola High School with his best friend Octavin Swan in 2019 and simultaneously completed two years of HVAC training at Neosho County Community College. He graduated in May of 2019 with an associates degree in HVAC at the same time as his mother who received her RN. He found the love of his life, Calista Gentino, his "other half" and planned to be married October 2, 2021. He had a big heart, loved animals and loved music. He was a beautiful boy who grew into a loving man and was very loved by so many. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents Frank and June Sandridge, Great Grandfather Frank McClelland, Grandmother Barbara McClelland, and Grandparents Jim and Judy Clark. Survivors include his parents Tristan and Belinda McClelland of Osawatomie; sister and brother-in-law Icis McClelland and Jacob Maichel and nephew Logan McClelland of Osawatomie; sister Leela of Osawatomie; beloved fiance Calista Gentino and child of Hillsdale; Great Grandmother Norma McClelland of Butler, MO; Grandparents Terry and Robin McClelland of Linn Valley, KS; Grandparents Mary and Dann Turner of Paola, KS; Grandparents Jerry and Linda Royse of Napa Valley, CA; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial contributions are for Trent and Calista's baby's trust fund. In true "Trent style" those attending his visitation are asked to dress casually, just as Trent would do, jeans, t-shirts, caps, etc. He wouldn't want anyone "dressing up" for him. Family and friends are encouraged to post their memories and condolences on Trentan's tribute wall.
