Tonie Lynn Standley was born on Saturday, March 7, 1959, in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of William 'Junior' Priddy and Mary (Field) Priddy Yakle. Tonie lived in Cotopaxi, Colorado, from 1976 to 1981, where her first child was born. She returned to Ottawa, moving to Quenemo twenty years ago, where she made her home until her death in December of 2006, at the age of forty-seven years. She attended Ottawa and Melvern High Schools. She worked for H.D. Lee, as a seamstress, and Wheeler Automotive, both of Ottawa. She was a homemaker who had many hobbies and loved her family greatly. She looked forward to their family gatherings and having fun with the children. She loved bragging about her grandkids. She also loved animals and had a special fondness for her cats. She was quite talented in crafts; especially, oil painting, needlepoint, and candle making. Tonie also enjoyed researching and organizing her family history. Tonie was united in marriage with Danny LeRoy Clifton on February 2, 1981. They were later divorced. On March 12, 1994, Tonie was united in marriage with Jim Standley in Quenemo, Kansas. They were later divorced.She is survived by her companion, Virgil W. Franks of the home; mother and stepfather, Mary and Bob Yakle of Pomona, Kansas; three daughters, Wanda Clifton and her companion, Scott Cowdin, of Quenemo, Kansas, Nora Hower and her husband, Corey, of Quenemo, Kansas, Julie Clifton of Paola, Kansas; son, Danny M. Clifton and his fianc', MaShona Hobbs, of Fountain, Colorado; close friend, David Wheeler and his wife, Sherry, of Ottawa; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Stephanie Priddy of Quenemo, Kansas; four grandchildren, Tristan Hower, Aidan Hower, Hayden Clifton, Sophia Clifton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including, Uncle Claude Corbin of Mound City, Missouri, and Aunt Addie Lou Trimmer of Mound City, Missouri. Tonie is preceded in death by her father; brother, Thomas Priddy; and grandson, Roudie Cowdin. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Standley at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after (*) to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7 to 8:00 Thursday evening.
