Tommie Louise Ingram, 89, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 3, 2017, at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Tommie was born Thursday, July 7, 1927, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earnest L. and Grace M. (Phillips) Williams. She was a longtime Ottawa resident, moving from Atchison, Kansas in 1961. She graduated from Mount View High School in Seminole, Oklahoma with the class of 1945. She attended Seminole Junior College for two years following high school. Tommie was united in marriage to Thomas Aaron Ingram January 10, 1948, at Seminole, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Roy Alan Ingram; brother, LeRoy Williams; and sister, Lucille Houck. Survivors include her four children, Colleen Secrest of Atoka, Oklahoma, Rosemary Gomez and husband Michael of Raytown, Missouri, Glen Ingram of Olathe, and Tony Ingram of Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-granddaughter; and two honorary grandchildren. Tommie was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was life-long member of the VFW Post 5901 Auxiliary. Tommie formerly was a member of the FOE 2700 Auxiliary, Franklin County Farm Women’s Association, and sixteen-year member of the Franklin County Election Board. She was a former member of Community Foursquare Church in Ottawa. Tommie loved camping, shopping, driving, watching Royals baseball, working on puzzles, and spending time with her pets. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her girlfriends. The family suggests memorial contributions to VFW Post 5901 Auxiliary c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
