Tim Caswell

Timothy O. Caswell, age 64, of Bucyrus, Kansas, passed away on January 25, 2025, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, January 31, 2025, at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, Kansas 66053. Visitation will follow, starting at 6:30 pm. Private burial will be held at a later date at the Bucyrus Cemetery. 

 Tim was born on January 23, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Clifford and Geraldine (Miller) Caswell. Tim grew up in Louisburg, where he attended school and graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1979.

Tim gained his strong work ethic as a child, working for his dad, mowing lawns, gardening, clearing snow, chopping firewood, as well as being a member of the Louisburg Volunteer Fire Department. He dedicated most of his adult working career as a millwright, proudly serving as a member of the Millwright's Local Union 1529, where he made many lifelong friendships. 

Tim married the love of his life, Joni Lambeth, on April 21, 2001, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Combined, the couple had four children: Andrea, Shanna, Trent, and Kelly. Tim and Joni also had the honor of raising their granddaughter, Leandra. 

A simple man at heart, Tim was quiet and spoke few words, yet his presence was always felt. He possessed a unique blend of humor and quick wit, often bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, embodying the spirit of kindness and generosity that defined his character.

Tim had a profound love for the outdoors, finding joy in fishing and shooting guns. During the summer months, he was often found grilling, creating delicious meals that brought friends and family together. An ardent patriot, Tim cherished the Fourth of July, celebrating his country with pride. He was a member of the American Legion Post 250, and could often be found at the Legion enjoying beverages with his friends. His love for family was evident, especially in the special moments he spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Geraldine Caswell, and two brothers, John and Frank Caswell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Joni Caswell, and their four children: Andrea (Sam) Peace of Paola, Kansas; Shanna (Evan) Heon of Wellsville, Kansas; Trent Caswell of Ottawa, Kansas; and Kelly Treas of Tallahassee, Florida. His legacy continues through his nine grandchildren: Leandra Treas, Cameron Peel, Conner Peel, Colton Caswell, Jolie Reichenberger, Kylie Heon, Johnny Reichenberger, Alexis Heon, and Kinsley Heon. Tim is also survived by his loving in-law’s, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends, who will all miss him dearly.
