Thomas H. Weber, 75, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Ottawa Retirement Village. Cremation is planned with private inurnment at Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, Kansas. He was born Wednesday, January 15, 1941, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Melvin Dale and Esther Clarcia (Demoret) Weber. He was a near lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas. Tom attended a rural school in Linn County, Kansas. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam from October 23, 1965, until being discharged on October 22, 1967, attaining the rank of Private First Class. He received the Sharp Shooter ribbon. He served in the Kansas National Guard from 1967 to 1971. Tom was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Memorial Post 5901. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Esther Weber and twin brother, Joseph Dale Weber. He is survived by his brother, Charles M. Weber, Sr. of Williamsburg. Tom worked five years as a laborer at Sky Hook in Ottawa and starting in 1971 he worked thirty-two years as a mechanic at Mock Motors, also of Ottawa.
