Thomas Edward "Ed" Corbett

Thomas Edward “Ed” Corbett, 41, Ottawa, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 28th, at the mortuary. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas. Ed was born November 29, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Thomas and Karen (Seaborn) Corbett. He grew up in Paola, moving to Pittsburg to attend college, and later moved to Ottawa where he has lived for 19 years. He graduated from Paola High School with the class of 1996 and continued his education at Pittsburg State University receiving a bachelor’s degree. Ed was united in marriage to Michelle Gentry April 22, 1996, in Olathe, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include children, Meaghan Alexis Corbett of Ottawa, and Kaylie Elizabeth Corbett also of Ottawa; father, Thomas Corbett of rural Miami County; mother, Karen Seaborn-Wilks and husband David of Branson, Missouri; and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his unborn twins; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Ed was an area Sales & Parts Manager with Kalmar (Ottawa Truck) working for almost 19 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Paola. Ed loved Jeeps, woodworking, remote control cars, hunting birds, geocaching, and watching Royals and KC Chiefs.
