Thomas B. Mock, 78, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Thomas was born on November 2, 1943, in Vallejo, California, the son of Vayne “Steve” and Leona (Riddle) Mock. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident, graduating from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1961. On April 18, 1981, Thomas was united in marriage to Carol (Johnson) Pacholke in Ottawa. Thomas was employed with Wheelers Service Station as the manager for many years; South Main Coin Laundry as custodian from the late 1970’s to late 2000’s; Skyhook from the late 1980’s to early 1990’s; and O’Reilly Auto Parts at the dealer counter from the 1990’s until his retirement in 2009, all of Ottawa. Family gatherings were always enjoyed by Thomas. He especially enjoyed camping, gardening flowers, bowling, classic cars, mowing, and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ruth Mock. Survivors include his wife Carol Mock of the home; three children, Steven Pacholke (Cindy) of Grain Valley, Missouri, Christopher Pacholke of Katy, Texas, and Steven Mock (Maureen) of New Orleans, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Autumn Mock, Parrish Mock, and Hudson Mock all of Louisiana and Cheyenne Pacholke, Wyatt Pacholke, and Lucas Roberts all of Grain Valley, Missouri; and brother-in-law, Larry Johnston (Jacqueline) of Machesney Park, Illinois.
