Theresa "Teri" Ann Deleon

Theresa "Teri" Ann DeLeon, age 60, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died March 9, 2018 at Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas. Teri was born January 1, 1958 at Pittsburg, Kansas. She was the daughter of Floyd and Betty (Carlini) Mayberry. Teri and Daniel C. DeLeon, Sr., were united in marriage in 2011 at Osawatomie. They made their home in Osawatomie. Teri worked in the food industry as a cook. She had worked for Louisburg Middle School cafeteria, Blair's Restaurant in Louisburg, and the Paola Price Chopper deli. Teri enjoyed annual trips to Branson with her husband. They went to Silver Dollar City and several shows on the Branson strip, her favorite show was the Dixie Stampede. Dan and Teri went fishing at the Hillsdale Lake. She was a collector of many ceramic statues including angels, bears, Indians, and really anything that would fit on a shelf. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Mayberry, her mother Betty Bennett, her daughter Theresa "Terri" Bunny who died at the age of 17 in an automobile accident, and her sister Cathy Richter. She is survived by her husband Dan of the home; son Gary Bunny and his wife Bobbie of Owingsville, Kentucky; two step-sons Daniel DeLeon, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Osawatomie and Tony DeLeon of Gardner, KS; mother-in-law Pat DeLeon of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters Cindi Smith of Arma, Kansas, and DeeDee LeFever of Pittsburg, Kansas; her brother Robert Mayberry of Dittmer, Missouri; 10 grandchildren Ashley, Joseph, Taylor, Isabelle, Paisley, Samantha, Alexis, Gary, Lindsey, and Jordan; 5 great grandchildren Dalton, Remmington, Kyser, Jeffrey, and Lesleigh; many other relatives and friends.
