Terry Stamper

Terry Allen Stamper, 74, of Paola passed away February 13, 2010 at Olathe Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard Delmar Stamper and Edna Mae Whipple Stamper. Terry joined the Navy in 1952. On February 17, 1955 he was united in marriage to Mary "Kate" Sheil in Kansas City, Missouri and became the parents of a son, Timothy Stamper. They resided in Kansas City before moving to Paola in August of 1968. Terry worked as a service manager in the appliance business; spending 15 years at Frigidaire; later he went to work for Hager Refrigeration where he was employed for 10 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the VFW, Masonic Temple, and the Free Masons. He is survived by his wife, Mary Stamper; son, Timothy Stamper of Paola; a brother, Delmar Richard Stamper of Independence, Missouri; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. All of whom will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation is planned with a private family service at a later date.
