Terry Riebe

Terrill “Terry” Lynn Riebe Terry was born on January 19, 1951, in Ottawa, Kansas to Louis and Patricia “Pat” Glaze Riebe. He was raised in Richmond, Kansas until the family moved to Paola when Terry was starting the third grade at North School. Terry graduated from Paola High School in 1969 and then attended Kansas State College at Pittsburgh, Kansas. Terry met his wife Marlene Thomas in high school and they were married on January 22, 1972, at the First Baptist Church in Paola, Kansas. Terry was a longtime Paola resident and member of the First Baptist Church where he was always an active member of the choir. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to sell motorcycles, cars and in the past few years, real estate with Marlene. Terry passed away September 22, 2017, at the age 66. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia “Pat” Glaze Riebe. Survivors include his wife of 45+ years Marlene (Thomas) Riebe; a daughter Danielle (Derek) Henry, 6 grandchildren, Evan, Michael, Ashlynn, Hailey, Aleigha, and Masin; his father, Louis (Valerie) Riebe of Spring Hill, Kansas; brothers, Dennis Riebe of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Jeff Riebe of Paola, Kansas; and a sister, Melinda (Tim) McMahon of Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Paola, Kansas. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, September 25, 2017, at the church. Burial will be in Paola Cemetery following the service. Memorials will go to the First Baptist Church, Paola, Kansas.
