Terry “Bud” Randel, 81, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at Baldwin Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City. Family will meet with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 15th, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Bud was born September 6, 1940, in Baldwin City, Kansas, the son of Claude Eugene and Stella (Goebel) Randel. He grew up in Baldwin City, graduating from Baldwin High School with the class of 1958. On January 8, 1960, Bud was united in marriage to Carolyn Greaves, in LeLoup, Kansas, and they had 3 children. Bud had a 20-year career in maintenance employed by Cohen-Esrey, retiring in 2004. In 1980, Bud and Carolyn moved to Ottawa and became members of the First Southern Baptist Church. Bud enjoyed traveling to Oregon and Las Vegas, fishing and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry and Kenneth Randel. Survivors include his wife Carolyn and three children, Carrie Waddell, Terry Radcliffe and Rick Randel: seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
