Teresa Kennedy

Teresa Kennedy, age 43, of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010. She was born on Thursday, May 4, 1967, in Ottawa, Kansas. She was the daughter of Jack and Donnie Mae (Schmoe) Nichols. She grew up in the Richmond, Kansas area, later living in Parker, Kansas, Osawatomie, Kansas and in recent years living in Rockaway Beach, Missouri. Teresa graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1985. She also graduated from Fort Scott School of Trucking and Johnson County Community College. For the past fifteen years she has owned and operated R&T Tires with her husband. She grew up in the Richmond First United Methodist Church. She was an active volunteer for Headstart, the Children Bible Study in Osawatomie and an active member of Ottawa Tots Club. On August 28, 1997, Teresa was united in marriage with Randy Kennedy at Lane, Kansas, He survives of the home. She is survived by her: Husband-Randy Kennedy of the home Daughter-Jamie Lorraine Henson of Rockaway Beach, Mo. Son – Kyle Scott Mundy of Rockaway Beach, Mo. Son – Jacob Alexander Henson of Rockaway Beach, Mo. Step Daughter Brianna Kennedy of Rockaway Beach, Mo. Step Daughter – Leah Kennedy of Emporia, KS. Sister – Kim Powell of Princeton, Ks. Brother – James Nichols of Parker, Ks. Brother- Lance Nichols of Las Vegas, Nv. Brother – Justin Nichols of Norton, Ks. Grandchildren-Joseph Mundy, Asa Mundy, Tyler Mundy, and Phoenix Henson She is preceded in death by her parents-Jack and Donnie Mae (Schmoe) Nichols. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at the Richmond Cemetery, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Dengel & Son Mortuary.
