Teresa J. Briggs

Teresa Jane Briggs, age 57, entered into eternal peace on Friday, May 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 10, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Carol Adams and Wilbert Luttrell. Teresa lived on a farm in Miami County for some of her childhood and was a member of the Busy Beavers 4-H Club and Miami County Saddle Club. In her youth, Teresa enjoyed barrel racing and riding her horse in the Miami County Parade. Teresa graduated from Blue Valley High School in Overland Park, Kansas, with the class of 1978. Throughout her career, she worked for the Blue Valley School District until her retirement in 2016. She enjoyed listening to music, putting puzzles together, looking through pictures, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family. Teresa was also a breast cancer survivor. Teresa is survived by her mother, Carol Adams of Overland Park; her Father Wilbert Luttrell of Basehor, Sisters, Kathy Ohlmeier and husband John of Osawatomie, Susan Briggs of Overland Park; Brothers, Larry Adams and wife Julie of Louisburg, David Luttrell and wife Cheryl of Leawood; Children, Lindsey Cupp of Olathe, Marcie Clarke and husband Jeremiah of Davenport, Cameron Cupp of Lenexa; and 8 grandchildren. Teresa will be deeply missed. We find comfort in knowing she is at peace; forever free from pain and suffering.
