Sylvia Harris

Sylvia "Irene" Harris, age 86, of Louisburg, KS, passed away on Monday July 14, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 16, at the Faith Chapel Assembly of God church in Louisburg KS. Burial will follow at the Louisburg Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Faith Chapel Assembly of God or to Hospice care of Kansas. Irene was born on February 15, 1922 in a log house on White River in Arkansas. She was the fourth daughter of Alburtus and Ida Dewey. She had four sisters and five brothers. Irene was married to William C Harris on July 3, 1940 and together they had seven children. She was a founding member of the Assembly of God church in Louisburg. She was a Foster Parent to four girls. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her five brothers and sisters and five of her children. Survivors include her daughters, Connie Zumbrunnen and Marilyn Leach both of Louisburg. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
