Sylvia Gander

Sylvia "Sue" Gander, age 66, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Osage City Care Center, Osage City, Kansas. Sue was born on May 15, 1946 in Paola, Kansas to Noel and Margaret "Peggy" Krueger Wright. She attended Osawatomie High School and worked at the local grocery store in the meat department as a packager. She also worked for over 8 years at the Osawatomie Elks as a bartender, enjoying visiting with friends and patrons. Her life took a drastic turn when she was injured in an automobile accident in April 1982. Since that time she has spent the rest of her life in care centers throughout the area. She enjoyed her outings with the care centers and visiting with family and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother David Wright. She is survived by her children, daughter Davina and husband Bill Garrison of Paola, son Jeff and wife Shannon Fields of Osawatomie; three granddaughters Alli Manthei, Kelly Garrison, and Jill Thomas; two great grandchildren; and one brother John Wright of Osawatomie.
