Sylva Ann Mignot

Sylva Ann Mignot, 82, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Wellsville Retirement Community. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Antioch Cemetery, Homewood, Kansas. Sylva was born December 17, 1936, in Ottawa, the daughter of Ralph and Jennie Faye (Humbert) McCurdy. She was a near lifelong resident of Ottawa until moving to Wellsville. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1954. Survivors include children, Mark Mignot and wife Pam of Wellsville and Cindy Mignot of Greeley; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jennie McCurdy; daughter, Beth Mignot and brother, Dean McCurdy. Sylva was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. Sylva enjoyed sewing, reading and loved dark chocolate.
