Susan C. Price

Susan C. (Aiken) Price, age 63, of Louisburg, KS passed away on January 17, 2018 in Kansas City, MO, after a long battle with the after effects of a stroke. The visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Louisburg United Methodist Church, Louisburg, KS with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Louisburg Cemetery. Box 669 Louisburg, KS 66053 Susie was born in Garnett, KS on January 17, 1955 to Harold “Tommy” and Betty Lou (Feebeck) Aiken. She retired from Honeywell after 40 years of working as an instrument technician in avionics. On March 20, 1971 she married Raymond Dean Price and had three children. The marriage ended in divorce. She then focused her time and efforts on raising and supporting her children. Susie had many hobbies. She loved researching the family’s genealogy, and had traced her ancestors back to England, circa 1035. The family owned the Louisburg Arena from the early 1960’s to mid-1990’s, and Susie could be found announcing many of the horse shows. She also enjoyed traveling with family, including many nieces and nephews. She loved watching the Chiefs every week, was an avid Chiefs fan and had a lot of sports attire to prove it. Finally, she enjoyed gathering the family together for game nights and mystery dinners. Sometimes you had to be daring with your choices at the mystery dinners, but they were always fun. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou Aiken. Susie is survived by her children, Renee (Bruce) Dotson, Archie, MO; Michael (Cassandra) Price, Louisburg, KS and Justin (Karen) Price, Eudora, KS; her father, Harold Thomas Aiken, Louisburg, KS; two brothers, James Aiken and Robert (Michelle) Aiken, Louisburg, KS; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Junior) Macoubrie, Paola, KS and Cathy Aiken, Louisburg, KS; four grandchildren, Brad Scott, Peculiar, MO; Stephanie Scott, Belton, MO, Christina Scott, Peculiar, MO and Kelsey Kwiatkowski.
