Steven Stookey

Steven Allen Stookey, age 45, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center. Steve was born September 11, 1967 at Aurora, Illinois. He was the son of Harlan and Yvonne (Covey) Forbes. Steve attended school at West Aurora High School, Aurora, Illinois. Steve had worked as a groundskeeper for Spring Lake Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois. Steve moved to Osawatomie in 2006. Steve enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his fianc" Ashley Francis of the home; two brothers Ray of Osawatomie and Charles of Oswego, Illinois; three sisters Sandy Fuhr and DeAnn Fuhr of Osawatomie and Rose "Debbie" Brown of Paola; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his beloved canine companion Princess; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to the Steve Stookey Memorial Fund.
