Stephen graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1972. Since 1992, Stephen has been employed by Royal Tractor Company, New Century, Kansas, at Gardner, as a welder and fitter lead man/foreman. In the 1980`s, he worked for Havens Steel, Ottawa, as a welder and fitter, and Wolf Creek Power Plant, Burlington, during construction, in the 1970`s and 1980`s. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa. In his younger years, he enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts, Babe Ruth and Legion baseball and high school football. He was a Chief`s fan, and enjoyed watching football on T.V. He was an avid reader and liked to surf the net on his computer. An outdoor person, he had a passion for fishing, hunting and farming. However, Stephen`s family was most important to him and spending time with them. On December 29, 1979, Stephen was united in marriage with Debra Shuster at Clearwater, Kansas. She survives of their home. Also surviving are his parents, Don and Carol Price, of Ottawa; four sons, Jeff Price and his wife, Danielle, of Lawrence, Jason Price, Josh Price, Scott Clark, of the home; daughter, Shanna Clark, of the home; sister, Joan Cook and her husband, David, of Ottawa; maternal grandmother, Margie Nelson, of Louisburg; and several aunts, uncles and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, 2001, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at 2:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church. Rev. John Duran will be officiating. Burial will be at Princeton Cemetery on Wednesday, May 2, at 3:30 PM. Memorials can be sent to American Diabetes Assn. or the Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary 235 S. Hickory St. Ottawa, KS 66067. Pallbearers will be: Pat Crooks, Phil Melvin, Jim Dennison, James Norman, Mickey Melvin, Alan Lauderback, and Trey Turnbaugh.
