Star Lee Castleberry, 58, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Olathe Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Prairie View Family Church, 27772 W. 135th Street, Olathe, Kansas. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas. Star was born Saturday, September 7, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Stilwell) Claussen. She lived in Kansas City, Missouri, moving to Williamsburg, Kansas. In 1976, Star moved to Olathe, Kansas, where she made her home until her death. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School. Star was united in marriage with Donald Lee Castleberry June 5, 1976 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death August 26, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Dodds; sister, Florence Crowley; and niece, Catina Tavernaro. Survivors include her siblings, John Tavernaro of Frontenac, Diana Jamison of Ottawa, and Patricia Claussen also of Ottawa; nephews, Robert Jamison and wife Jodi of Princeton, and Donald Jamison and wife Lexie of Bucyrus; niece, Courtney Bonecutter and husband Kenny of Louisburg; and many great nieces and nephews. Star was employed as a dietary supervisor in an Olathe nursing home. She began working at Dairy Cream in Ottawa. She attended Prairie View Family Church in Olathe. Star enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her church, and playing Bingo. The family suggests memorial contributions to Prairie View Family Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
