Stacey Renee Miller-Clark

March 7, 1988 — March 3, 2025

Williamsburg

Stacey Renee Miller-Clark, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 36, surrounded by her family and friends. Stacey’s warmth, love, and spunky spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Born on March 7, 1988, in Fort Scott, Kansas, to Arnold and Grace “Beth” Miller, Stacey moved to the Pomona area with her family in 1992 at the age of three. A proud graduate of Pomona High School, class of 2006, Stacey enjoyed cheerleading and playing volleyball, always bringing her vibrant energy to everything she did.

It was at the Ottawa derby where she met the love of her life, Jared Clark. The couple married on June 16, 2010, at the Franklin County Courthouse and together they were raising three beautiful children—Charles Miller (17), Zoey Clark (14), and MaciMae Clark (12). Stacey was their biggest cheerleader, always supporting their school and sports activities. Whether hollering at the referees for a bad call or encouraging her kids to do their best, Stacey’s love for her children was evident in everything she did.

Stacey’s closest friends affectionately called her “Worm,” a nickname earned after a memorable moment in a kickball game. While running to a base, Stacey fell flat on her face, and her legs curled up behind her in a way that resembled the dance move “the worm.” Ever the determined spirit, she jumped up and continued running as if nothing had happened, earning her this cherished moniker.

Stacey had had her movie star moment when the network Bravo filmed the TV show Welcome to Waverly, where her warm personality shone brightly. She shared the rural Kansas way of life with her city-slicker, vegan co-star, explaining how her family relied on deer meat from her husband’s hunting to get through the winter months. Stacey loved the outdoors, whether she was hunting morel mushrooms in the spring or fishing during the warm summer months. However, she wasn’t a fan of the cold, and during fall and winter, she could be found inside, making her famous chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles or chili and cinnamon rolls, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Stacey was preceded in death by her grandfather Arnold Miller, grandmother Loretta Miller, grandfather Thurston Foster, grandmother Laura Foster, and close friend Ashley DeCock-Smith.

She is survived by her husband Jared Clark, their children Charles, Zoey, and MaciMae, her parents Arnold and Beth Miller, her brother Derrick (and sister-in-law Chelsey), her nephew Lincoln, her sister-in-law Audrea (and brother-in-law Kevin), and her niece Kiahna. She is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Stacey’s family sincerely appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, they respectfully request donations to their GoFundMe campaign, which will contribute to securing a bright future for Stacey’s children GoFundMe for Stacey's Children (https://gofund.me/7627363b).
