Spencer D. Ernst Sr.

Spencer D. Ernst, Sr, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 at Advent Health Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Dengel & Son Mortuary-Crematory 1 Aquatic Drive Louisburg, KS 66053. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 250 and the Legion Riders. Spencer was born March10, 1951 in Hudson, Ohio, the son of Lewis Criblez and Joan Ernst. For the past 19 years he and his wife, Susan lived very happily in Cleveland, Missouri near Louisburg. Spencer served in the United States Air Force first, then the United States Navy during Vietnam. Spencer was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leslie Ernst. He is survived by his wife Susan Diane, daughter Amber Minetti and her husband, daughter Heather Belveal and her partner, grand-daughters Marie and Michelle from Heather, son Spencer Douglas Ernst, Jr, and his partner. Spencer enjoyed his membership in the Destroyer Escort Sailor Association (DESA), the Cavala Foundation (ECVA), Combat Control Team Association (CCI), Missouri’s Master Naturalists, Missouri Prairie Foundation and Stream Team. Also, the Louisburg Library Guys Read was an important part of his life. Other members of these groups and lovely neighbors were of great value.
