Shirley L. Falls, 51, of Princeton, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Celebration of life service will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Richmond Community Building with a dinner provided for all. Private inurnment to be held at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery, Homewood. Shirley was born Tuesday, October 12, 1965, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Dennis Charles and Helen Louise (Mullin) Landwehr. She lived in Bonner Springs until 1976, moving to become a near lifelong Franklin County resident living in Ottawa and Princeton. She graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1985 and continued her education, attending Emporia State. Shirley was united in marriage to Terry Falls March 18, 1988. He survives of their home. Other survivors include her three children, Joseph Falls of Lawrence, Erich Falls of Princeton, and Frances Dunlap and husband Carson of Princeton; one sister, two brothers, two grandchildren, Anna Mae Dunlap and Lucas Dunlap; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Helen Landwehr; and one sister. Shirley was employed with Wal-Mart as an associate for 20 years. She attended St. Theresa Catholic Church in Richmond. Shirley enjoyed oil painting, bird watching, gardening, campfires and, above all, spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
