Shirley Ann Ferris

Shirley Ferris, 65, Pomona, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa. She was born Oct. 13, 1942, at Illmo, Mo., to John H. and Ruby Opal (McCulley) Foulk. She was a resident of Pomona thirty years, moving from Missouri. She worked for King Radio as an assembler seven years; Willis Nursery as a supervisor fifteen years; and in the shipping department for Dot Label from 1992 to retirement in 2004. The past two years to present, she was employed by DB & J Drilling. On June 4, 1959, Shirley was united in marriage with Rolland Ferris, Jr. in Wellsville, Kansas. They celebrated forty-eight years of marriage. He survives of their home. Survivors also include daughters, Cindy Saffer and Beth A. Runnells, both of Williamsburg; sons, Rolland P.
