Sheryl A. Crawford

Sheryl A. Crawford, 67, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa. Sheryl was born June 11, 1954, in Ottawa, the daughter of Ray and Mary (Fyock) Brown. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident, attending Ottawa High School with the class of 1972. On December 4, 1971, Sheryl was united in marriage to Richard L. Crawford. He preceded her in death in August 2016. Sheryl was a bookkeeper for many years working at Ray Brown Ford, Ottawa, and later at the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital. She attended Ottawa Bible Church and later Richter United Methodist Church. Sheryl loved her family and grandchildren and the time they spent together. She enjoyed hunting, shooting, riding horses, cooking, and being outdoors. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Shon Showalter. Survivors include two children, Hollie Showalter and Jason Crawford both of Ottawa; three siblings, James (Sandy) Brown of Oregon, Glenene Brown of Ottawa, and Kristie Brown of Fort Worth Texas; eight grandchildren, Baylee (Kyle) Jordan, Taylor (Brian) Green, Jake (Emily) Showalter, Josh (Julie) Showalter, Justin Showalter, Jarod Crawford, Jadon Crawford, and Josie Crawford; and great grandson Easton Green.
