Shelley Armenda Welch

Shelley Armenda Welch, 49, of Princeton, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at The University of Kansas Health System. Graveside interment service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, February 25, 2022, at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Shelley was born November 28, 1972, at Klamath Falls, Oregon, the daughter of Edward and Alice Jean (Schmoe) Cantrell. She was a lifelong Franklin County resident, living the last 26 years in Princeton. She attended Ottawa High School with the Class of 1990, later earning her GED. On October 29, 2005, Shelley was united in marriage to Charles Welch in Princeton. The last five years she was employed at Orscheln Farm & Home as a salesclerk. Shelley was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She treasured her family and made many special memories with her husband and children. One of the ways she showed her love was through her baking. Survivors include her husband Charles Welch of the home; mother, Jean Jones (Don) of Ottawa; four children, Savannah Cantrell of Richmond, Mckenzie Wallis, Emylee Welch, and Cooper Welch all of Princeton.
