Shawn Michele Busby

Shawn Michele Busby, age 56, of rural Paola, Kansas, formerly of Overland Park, passed away September 23, 2019 at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born April 26, 1963 at St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Marion and Judith (Schnieder) Morris. She graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School. She earned an Associate's Degree through Johnson County Community College. She was married on October 23, 1993 at St. Michael's Church in Mission, Kansas to Brad Busby. They made their home in Overland Park and became the parents of three children. Shawn worked in property management and also as a realtor. Her family was her life. She also enjoyed horseback riding. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Brad of the home; mother Judith Morris of Olathe; sons Alan of Olathe and Carden of the home; daughter Cally of the home; two sisters Stacey (Fred) Ortiz of Arkansas and Mallee Morris of Olathe; a brother Scott Morris of Olathe; many other relatives and friends.
