Shawn M.White,19, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 surrounded by his family. Services will be Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM, with visitation Saturday April 18, from 6:00-8:00PM, at the Penwell-Gable Funeral Home Chapel, Paola, Kansas, 305 North Pearl Street. Memorial may be made to the Childrens Mercy Hospital Hematology-Oncology Unit, in care of the funeral home. Shawn was one of five children. He grew up and attended school in Osawatomie, Kansas. Shawn had a passion for fixing up and rebuilding cars. His favorite car was a Nissan 300 ZX, which he had just purchased. Shawn had been employed for the last year and a half at Central National Bank, in Gardner, Kansas. Shawn is survived by both his parents, Eugene and Connie White of the home, brother, Jeremy E. White, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, sisters; Kristina R. White, of Osawatomie, Kansas, Jamie L. White, of Osawatomie, Kansas, Trisha D. Kilbourn, of Paola, Kansas, grandparents; James and Barbara White, of Paola, Kansas, and Gibb and Margaret Johnson, of Osawatomie. Shawn will be missed by many friends and family.
