Sharon Ann Jones

Sharon Ann Jones, age 75, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the University of Kansas Health System. Private family inurnment at Highland Cemetery will be held later. Sharon was born December 21, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Max Foushee and Helen Marie (Bauer) Foushee. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. Sharon was united in marriage to Richard D. “Jonsey” Jones August 7, 1982 at Ottawa. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2012. She was a lifelong homemaker. Sharon was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 5901 Auxiliary, and member of the Braveside Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl Foushee, and son-in-law, Ed Nussbaum. Survivors include three children, Tina (Stanley) Madison of Ottawa, Lee (Kim) Gregg also of Ottawa, and Sandra Nussbaum of Warsaw, Missouri; two siblings, Peggy (Sam) Caylor of Ottawa, and Jerry Gosney also of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
