Shane Patrick Besch

Shane Patrick Besch, 35, of rural Paola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas. Shane was the third of four children born to Steven Charles and Barbara Ann (Bailey) Besch. He was born Sunday, February 14, 1982, in Lincoln, NE. He grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. He earned his Associate's Degree at Southeast Community College, Lincoln, NE. The family moved to Kansas 15 years ago. He worked at Kenexa (now IBM) as a computer technician where his coworkers could always count on him for good laugh. Shane enjoyed working on the family's acreage, pets and animals, computers, listening to music of many varieties, drawing, fishing and camping. He tried to watch every Nebraska football game too. He enjoyed traveling to new destinations, trying interesting foods, and spending time with his nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Heather Besch and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his parents Steve and Barbara Besch of rural Paola, KS; a brother Scott Besch and wife Carolina Bustamante (nephew Coen) of Westbury, NY; a sister Amber & spouse Caleb Smith (nieces Hailey & Avery) of Solomon, KS; many other relatives and friends.
