Scott Hoisington

Scott “Scotty” Hoisington, Jr., 33, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Scott was born January 18, 1985 to Cindy Rowe-Hoisington and Scott Hoisington, Sr. in Rutland, Vermont. Scott graduated from Paola High School in 2003 and later received his associate degree from DeVry University. He worked for Jones Lang LaSalle for the last 3 of his 12+ years at the Honeywell facility in Olathe, KS. In December 2017, Scott was promoted to facilities coordinator with the oversight of six Honeywell facilities. As a child, Scott loved to go fishing in Colorado with his grandpa Rowe. More recently, he enjoyed playing several computer and console games, going to the movies, and BBQing. Since marrying Amanda in October of 2017, he also enjoyed starting to learn the ropes of raising cattle from his father in law, Brian, and his wife’s grandpa Dale Windler, during which time, many hours were spent laughing, getting into trouble, and being overly spunky. Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul F. and Ethelyn F. Hoisington. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Hoisington; daughter, Kumori Hoisington; son, Dakota Willcut; both parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Brian and Melinda Homrighausen; and grandparents Lee Edward and Dora Bell Rowe. He is also survived by numerous family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are encouraged to post their condolences and memories on Scott's Tribute Wall.
