Scott Allan Wilson

March 16, 1963 — September 20, 2023

Scott Wilson was born and raised in Paola, Kansas. After graduating from Paola High School in 1981, He attended Pittsburg State University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, serving as President.

After graduating, he became a teacher at Salina High School. He went on to teach at Manhattan High School. While working in Manhattan he earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas State. He went on to become Assistant Principal at Eisenhower Middle School. He then moved to North Kansas City, serving as Principal at Maple Park Middle School. Scott would then move to North Port, Florida, serving as Principal at a newly built Heron Creek Middle School.

During his father’s recovery from heart surgery and later, his death by cancer, Scott cared for both his parents. Scott passed after a long battle with cancer.

Scott is survived by his husband Jerran, his mother Deanna(Sue), his son Dustin, grandson Steven, and daughter-in-law Elena, and cousins Lake Vasquez and James Aaron Vasquez.

He was preceded in death by his father Shelby(Jack), brother Kirk, and sister Wendy.
