Scott A. Myers

Scott A. Myers, 51, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Monday, July 15, 2013 in Gardner, Kansas. Family and friends will meet at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. Monday, July 22, 2013 for a visitation. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Union Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. Scott was born on Friday, October 13, 1961 in Ottawa, Kansas. He was the son of Rex and Sandra (Griffin) Myers. He was a lifelong Franklin County, Ottawa resident. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1980. Scott was united in marriage with Lonna Smith. Survivors include his wife Lonna of the home; three sons, Dustin Myers and wife Caitlin of Edwardsville, Kansas, Devon Myers of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Mason Myers of Valencia, California; brother, Michael Myers and wife Catherine of Ottawa, brother, Eddie Myers of Kansas City, Kansas, sister, Karla Branam and husband Rob of Pomona, brother, Jeff Myers of Ottawa; and seven grandchildren. Preceding Scott in death are his parents, Rex and Sandra Myers. Scott was employed by Santa Fe Railroad as a trackman, retiring in 2008. He was a former member of the Community Foursquare Church.
